Why Am I Here?
Have you ever found yourself posting on social media and immediately asking yourself one of the following:
"Why am I doing this?"
"Does anyone even care about my post?"
"How is this post going to impact me or make a difference at all in the universe?"
I am going to assume that at some point in time, one of these questions has filled your brilliant mind right after you ever so graciously hit post on one of the social media sites you use within your business.
Before we get into why you are here, as in on social media, I want to affirm your above thoughts. We have ALL experienced them, myself included. They are completely normal thoughts when we are using social media due to is vast size and reach capabilities. It can make us feel overwhelmed at times thinking about it and ultimately make us want to simply stop using it.
Now, stopping the use of social media, I do not advise, at all. Please note my advisory is not ONLY because I am a Digital Brand Strategist who is able to eat because of social media, BUT, it is because I do not want you or your company to miss opportunities to reach over 4.95 BILLION people.
There is a tool in the internet world that I live in called the Global Penetration Rate. The Internet Penetration Rate corresponds to the percentage of the total population of a given country or region that uses the Internet.
As of January 2022, the Global Penetration Rate was 62%. That means that 62% of the World's population is using the internet or 4.95 BILLION people.
With this, simply put, you are using the internet and social media in your business because I would bet the entire farm that you have 1 or 2 (thousand) ideal clients in there just waiting to hear from you.
Now knowing what you know, I am sure you feel instantly so much better about why you are here. I am also sure that you are now trying to figure out how to get in front of those very people so I will leave you with this until next week...
Lead with your heart, not with your pocket.
Confession #5- I am here online to serve other entrepreneurs who have yet to completely show up for themselves in this space.
