Should I Post This?
If you’ve found yourself over the last few years questioning how posting your opinions on your social media post effect your business or even if they do at all, I am here to tell you with pure certainty the answer is YES!
Typically, when my clients are asking me about making post that may feel controversial, they are worried about negative impact. The part of that “yes” that is sometimes overshadowed is that it could have a very positive reaction on your business.
Whether we like it, love it, or down right can’t stand it, we are living in a time where people are making conscious business decisions based on morals, values, and beliefs above all else. We truly have the Donald Trump era to thank for that as his presidency made people more aware of the “who” they were conducting business with.

Pledges to give aid, money, and support to civic organizations like Black Lives Matter and The National Urban League were at an all-time high from companies large and small.
Companies were providing their employees with emotional and mental supports as the United States mourned not just a public murder; but, also came face to face with some hard truths.
More so than anything, businesses found that silence online became synonymous with complacency, and that was not being taken lightly by consumers.
Now my dear friends, I am by no means insisting that today you begin to make bold statements surrounding your thoughts about everything from the price of tea in China to 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days (that reunion though?!?) to the political climate of the world; however, I am suggesting that you making a statement, on something you feel strongly about, may not be the disaster we were conditioned to believe it will be.
After all, President Joe Biden got the most votes in the history of voting. You know who got the second most? Former President Donald J. Trump.
Think about that.
Confession #4: I have pronouns on all my social media profiles because I am an ally of the LGBTQIA+ Community.
